We believe that our sixth form is a brilliant place to study, especially as we have a wide variety of opportunities open to us. George Spencer Sixth Form has a broad range of subjects on offer to study. You can find your passion here. Beyond the classroom there are also vast options for enrichment, excellence days, and our personal development curriculum, which provides a ‘bridge’ between childhood and adulthood. Enrichment ranges from gym and fitness using our on-site gym through to self-defence and cooking on a budget. The enrichment programme truly helps develop our independence and prepares us for our next steps. We have always felt the school and Sixth Form is an inclusive environment which has allowed students like ourselves to flourish and develop a close relationship with the staff, who consistently provide the support needed throughout our education. We are proud to be George Spencer students and be part of the George Spencer family. Furthermore we see the Sixth Form as a close-knit community where everyone gets to know and support one another. As Sixth Form students we get greater independence in our learning but also in the roles we can take on to support students across the whole school community, such as the clubs and activities taking place each week. This academic year we have had the pleasure to take on the roles of Student Presidents. Let us introduce ourselves:
I am Ben and my aim as student president is to make everyone at the school feel welcome and have a real sense of belonging through listening to the students’ voices and ensuring there is a space for every student to strive to be the best they can be.
Hi, I’m Bella, and I am very pleased to be one of your student presidents this academic year. I hope that I can support your educational journey by creating a positive and welcoming environment where people can contribute to our community and connect with peers.
I am Sam and my main goal as one of your student presidents is to make your voice truly heard through our form representatives.
Hi, I am Joanna and I am excited to help students feel confident about their next steps. I want to give back to George Spencer by supporting students in both sixth form and across year 7 to year 11.
