The students and staff at George Spencer Academy are delighted to be celebrating yet another set of consistently excellent results with an impressive 30% of all A-level grades awarded being either an A*or A. Furthermore, over 50% of all A-level grades were grade B or higher, despite the highly publicised reduction in grades nationally. These outstanding results demonstrate once again that George Spencer Academy Sixth Form is one of the leading Sixth Forms in Nottinghamshire.
It is especially pleasing in this digital age, when students can access results and check university applications on-line, our students came into school to be with their friends and teachers. It is a real privilege to share the culmination of their hard work and diligence with our inspiring and talented young people.
Jules Gordon, Vice Principal responsible for Sixth Form provision commented, “The excellent grades obtained bear witness to the resilience, hard-work and ability of our students and the commitment of our staff to bring the best out of all our students. Our Sixth Formers have had a vision since joining the Sixth Form and through the support of each other and staff their dreams have been realised.”
Helen Corbett, Principal stated, “Our Year 13 students have done themselves and us proud. They have risen to the standards now expected to achieve their desired grades and as such will be moving on to excellent futures. I wish them all the absolute best with their exciting plans and destinations – well done to them all.”
Elliot (left) shared, “I am extremely grateful to the staff at GSA for everything they have done for me and look forward to my career in Medicine at UCL.”

Yassin also achieved A*AA, gaining a place at Oxford University to study Politics and said “I couldn’t have done it without the support of many individual teachers at George Spencer, who pushed me to aim high and gave me the support to reach my goal!”
