Chartered College and the Spencer Academies Trust
We are thrilled to launch the professional partnership between Spencer Academies Trust and The Chartered College Of Teaching. Our shared values represent a commitment to high quality professional development anchored in research and evidence, and this new partnership is a brilliant opportunity to develop and deepen our professional development culture across our entire organisation.
Spencer Academies Trust has a legacy of excellence in training through our role as a former Teaching School Alliance and longstanding George Spencer Academy SCITT. This new partnership is an exciting next step for the trust.
‘It is a measure of our longstanding commitment to ensure that our Teacher and Education Support Professionals benefit from sector leading career development and professional learning,’ stated Paul West, CEO of Spencer Academies Trust. ‘Our Trust-wide membership means that everyone engaged with educating our children and young people will have career-long access to the breadth of the CCT professional offer and can plan their networking and collaboration as they choose.’
Chartered College Membership enables staff access to a suite of high-quality CPD resources through the online knowledge hubs, carefully curated and packaged for professionals. With on demand access to a range of resources underpinned by the latest research and evidence, SAT staff will have another high-quality avenue to continue on their professional development journeys.
‘This represents an invaluable resource for our schools to embed research and evidence even further into the heart of our practice and expand upon the many other professional development pathways we offer. Our commitment across the Spencer Alliance for Leadership and Teaching is to provide a ‘Lifetime of Opportunity’ for all professionals,’ commented Tammy Elward, Director of the Spencer Teaching School Hub and Derby Research School.
As we roll out this first stage, we are laying strong foundations for our next stage as we look to strengthen our work with the Chartered College of Teaching.
